How Polyter Works
The Polyter Mechanism of Action
Polyter® is a biodegradable hydro-retention technology engineered to optimize water and nutrient availability within the root zone. Upon hydration, it forms stable hydrogel reserves that retain water and dissolved nutrients, releasing them progressively in response to plant demand.

1. Applied at the Root Zone
Polyter® is incorporated into the planting hole, substrate, or seedbed during sowing, planting, or transplanting to establish a localized water and nutrient reserve directly within the active root zone.

2. Hydrates and Stores Water
The semi-permeable polymer matrix absorbs and retains up to 500 times its dry weight in water, together with dissolved nutrients, creating a stable reserve available for future plant uptake.

3. Optimizes Root-Zone Availability
Polyter helps roots connect to hydrated nodules, improving water and nutrient availability while enhancing root mobility and protection from climate stress.

4. Improves Plant Performance
Water and nutrients are progressively released according to plant demand, improving water-use efficiency, nutrient-use efficiency, crop establishment, productivity, and resilience under abiotic stress.
